HourlyPosition Purpose: Provide language assistance for internal staff and translation assistance for internal quality calls. Conduct outbound calls to members to gather information to support scheduling and enrollment.
Conduct interpreting of oral conversations from the originating language to English.
Record and monitor interpretation activities according to department standards.
Assess and monitor patients’ understanding of information conveyed.
Conduct outbound calls to members in the client's native language; translates conversation and ensures questions have been addressed.
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of customer experience, preferably in healthcare call center environment required. 1+ years of experience as an interpreter preferred.
License/Certification: Must possess or obtain Medical Interpreter National Certification (NBCMI) or Certification Commission of Healthcare Interpreters CCHI) within 18 months of employment.
