Position Purpose: Strategic leadership role within the Centene Marketing team and is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies targeted specifically towards healthcare providers, with a primary focus on driving brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy among providers, contributing to the success of our portfolio of health insurance products. Responsible for helping shape the perception and adoption of Centene brands and products with providers, driving their engagement and improving patient outcomes in support of our mission to transform the health of the communities we serve, one person at a time.

  • Provider marketing capability: Develops provider marketing recommended structure, processes, and governance for effective and efficient provider marketing capability at scale. Recruits and develops talent, fosters a people-first culture of trust, transparency, and accountability.

  • Provider marketing strategy: Creates and implements comprehensive marketing strategies specifically tailored to target providers that drive provider network expansion and positive sentiment and provider advocacy for Centene’s portfolio of brands. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Product, Health Plans, Provider (Value-based Strategies), Network, Medical Affairs/Population Health & Clinical Operations (PHCO), Corporate Communications, External Affairs, Compliance and Consumer Marketing, to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.

  • Content development and management: Collaborates with cross functional teams to create accurate, compelling, and relevant content for providers. This includes partnering on the launch of new products and sustain existing ones, including managing provider web content, executing on social/digital campaigns, messaging, collateral development. Leverages the infrastructure built by Corporate Marketing (partners, processes, tools, tech) to operationalize at scale.

  • In-office patient programs & materials: Collaborates with Provider (Value-based Strategies), PHCO, and Consumer Marketing teams to identify provider in-office opportunities for patient materials/collateral. Acts as key partner for development and distribution of materials. Provides guidance and support to ensure effective provider targeting, segmentation, and messaging alignment.

  • Market research and insights: Conducts market research and analysis to understand provider behaviors, needs, and preferences in conjunction with key cross-functional partners. Stays informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging healthcare innovations to inform strategic decision-making and the HCP segmentation and engagement strategy.

  • Performance tracking and reporting: Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of provider marketing initiatives. Regularly tracks, analyzes, and reports on marketing activities, provides insights and recommendations for optimization.

  • Compliance and regulatory adherence: Ensures all marketing activities and materials comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry standards. Works closely with legal and compliance teams to review and approve promotional materials and campaigns.

  • Partners deeply with Corporate Communications and External Affairs organizations.

  • Arms provider field teams with toolkits, collateral, thought leadership pieces and PR support when opportunities to engage with providers through various channels such as conferences, seminars, webinars, and digital platforms are identified. Develops and executes impactful initiatives that enhance relationships, provide educational value, and promote the benefits of our products.

  • Helps support corporate communications in the development of thought leadership and opinion leader engagement: Identifies and engages with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influential providers. Fosters relationships, seeks endorsements, and leverages their expertise to amplify the credibility and reach of our products.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred.

10+ years relevant marketing experience, with 7+ years of provider marketing experience and 7+ year of people leadership experience.

Experience in Health insurance/plan, healthcare, hospital/provider, or pharmaceutical experience required.Pay Range: $142,300.00 - $263,500.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
