Centene Corporation Supervisor, Medicare Sales in Latham, New York
ProfessionalPosition Purpose: Provides support, guidance, and direction to staff representatives responsible for identifying potential customers and applying the strategies and tactics for making them aware of the products that Fidelis Care New York offers; manages the activities and performance of a specific territory and sales staff to ensure they meet or exceed budget goals; responsible for territory development, assisting with training staff, and field monitoring for all of the Plan’s product lines, and ensures compliance with all regulatory, audit, and corporate policies.
Provide timely schedules to the Medicare Marketing department and the Medicare team; ensure that Medicare Marketing activities are conducted at the appropriate locations to maximize enrollments; conduct routine on-site verification that staff members are at assigned locations; ensure that representatives have the appropriate materials/information to do one's job and meet regulatory compliance and business needs.
Answer questions, explain policies and procedures, share information, and encourage open dialog to maintain open communication channels with employees and management; make daily contact, periodic reviews, and resolve problems to build and maintain customer and employee relationships; able to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
Track, monitor and report productivity of the sales staff with the use of specific reporting tools; gather and analyze recurring numerical data on sales and marketing data to provide management with status reports; advise staff daily of performance goals.
Make periodic site visits, explore specific needs, and resolve problems to build and maintain client relationships; spend time with staff in the field to assist them in achieving their daily goals.
Education/Experience: AA/AS - Associates Degree or equivalent work experience required. BA/BS - Bachelors Degree or equivalent preferred. One to three years Supervisory experience required. Three to five years Supervisory experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Access; Internet. Skilled in appropriate etiquette and demands of sale environments and experience with quota based goals. Skilled to work in a fast paced environment. Must have strong problem solving skills. Skilled to communicate with all levels of Management, internal and external customers. Ability to work well as a member of a team or alone. Skilled in communicating with technical and business constituencies in writing effective business specifications and requirements.
License/Certification: NYS Life Accidental Health license required
