ProfessionalPosition Purpose: Manage the day-to-day operations of Accounting and Finance functions
Manage the month end closing process and oversee the completion of financial statements and supporting analyses and reconciliations
Review and approve journal entries for submission to corporate for posting
Complete monthly cash reconciliation and ensure all cash entries were properly recorded and processes were followed
Prepare budget and forecasts and analyze financial results related to expectations
Provide financial and business analysis based on information from various sources and financial reports
Present results of analysis and recommend appropriate actions to senior management
Review and approve all invoices to be vouchered and paid
Review Accounts Receivable Aging schedules and ensure that collections are within terms
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience. Previous experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefit management preferred. Firm understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, other spreadsheet applications and accounting software applications.
License/Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
This position will be supporting a Federal government contract, therefore it requires U. S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86 or higher security.
